About The Cascade Bicycle Club Web Site
Cascade Bicycle Club's current Web site launched in October 2002. The new design supports Cascade's new branding effort across all pages of the site, and creates a visitor friendly environment by implementing a uniform look and feel, and site-wide navigation. As of Dec. 2003, our site received 19,000 unique visitors per month, and over 100,000 visitors per month.
The site is built with Macromedia Cold Fusion and Adobe GoLive. This site is optimized for viewing at 800x600 resolution, with 16k colors. The site supports Internet Explorer and Netscape 4.0 and above browsers. To manage the wealth of site information, some content, like free daily rides and many modular elements, is dynamically generated to allow for easy updates.
Creating the new site required a lot of communication. Scott Marlow managed the RFP process with over 20 vendors. Over months, input and feedback was gathered from staff, event directors, eight standing committees, contractors, and volunteer web editors to develop the site requirements. The site has more than 1,500 pages to serve its 7,400+ members and the greater Seattle bicycle community.

Their professional advice and leadership helped us create a more robust communication vehicle for members and the greater bicycling community.
